About Kinkaid

Kinkaid is a ghost town in Mineral County, Nevada, also recorded under the alternate names Kinkead and Kinkaid Siding. Its history is tied to the Carson and Colorado Railway, which once stopped here, and to a mill operation that was active through the 1940s.

Today Kinkaid is a sparsely documented remnant of a former railroad community. Visitors drawn to Nevada ghost towns may find little more than the open landscape and a sense of the site's past role as a railway waypoint and milling location.
