About Highland
Highland is a city-center neighborhood in Denver, Colorado, not a traditional ghost town in the abandoned-settlement sense. It sits within a defined boundary: West 38th Avenue to the north, a Union Pacific Railroad line to the east, the South Platte River to the southeast, Speer Boulevard to the south, and Federal Boulevard to the west.
The name causes some confusion because "the Highlands" is commonly used to refer to both Highland and the adjacent West Highland neighborhood, though the two are distinct areas.
