Gold Run

Gold Run is a ghost town in Placer County, California, with roots in the California Gold Rush era, when mining drew settlers to the area and a community took shape around that activity.

Visitors today encounter a historic settlement that has faded considerably from its working past. As with many Gold Rush-era sites, what remains is modest, and the experience is more about absorbing the sense of place than touring intact structures.
