About Eastbridge

Eastbridge marks the site of a former railroad station on the Arizona side of the Colorado River in Mohave County. Its significance lies in the crossing itself: this was where the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad constructed its first bridge over the Colorado, a landmark moment in the rail history of the American Southwest. The station sat on the river's east bank, roughly three miles southeast of Needles, California.

Today Eastbridge is a ghost town in the truest sense — a location defined more by what once stood there than by anything a visitor can walk through. The riverside desert setting remains, but travelers should expect little in the way of standing structures or interpreted history on the ground.
