About Black Rock
Black Rock is a former logging camp and unincorporated community tucked into the Central Oregon Coast Range in Polk County, Oregon. It sits on the Little Luckiamute River, roughly three miles west of the small town of Falls City.
Given its origins as a logging camp, visitors today will find little more than a quiet rural setting along the river corridor. This is a sparsely documented remnant community, and those making the trip should expect atmosphere and scenery rather than preserved structures or formal amenities.
