The Tickfaw River at Tickfaw State Park offers a classic southeast Louisiana river fishing experience for largemouth bass, bream, and catfish in a beautiful bottomland hardwood setting. The park's canoe and kayak launch makes it easy to fish the river's bends and backwater sloughs. Fishing with live crickets or worms along the undercut banks produces excellent bream and bass action throughout the warmer months.
