Silver Lake (Family Cg)

Silver Lake Campground provides camping adjacent to Silver Lake, with access to the Bucks Lake Wilderness. The campground provides 9 quiet units for tent camping. Although the campground was burned in the 2021 Dixie Fire, the view of the lake with towering granite peaks in the distance is still magical. Activities include hiking, non-motorized boating, picnicking, and swimming. The campground has trailhead parking for both Gold Lake and Granite Gap trails, which provide access to the Pacific Crest Trail. Sites include picnic tables, fire rings, and bear resistant food lockers.
