About this water
The Salmon River at Pulaski is one of the most famous steelhead and salmon fisheries in the eastern United States, drawing thousands of anglers each fall for massive runs of Chinook salmon and steelhead rainbow trout. The river below Lighthouse Hill Reservoir offers excellent access and is managed intensively by NYSDEC. Spring steelhead runs and summer brown trout fishing round out a year-round fishery.
