About this water

Lake Nimrod is Arkansas's oldest reservoir, managed specifically for fishing and wildlife, and is known for excellent crappie, bass, and catfish action. The lake's shallow, weedy structure and flooded timber provide outstanding habitat for crappie, which are targeted heavily in spring. AGFC actively manages the fishery with regular stocking and habitat improvement projects.
