About this water
Hoover Reservoir is a 3,000-acre impoundment on Big Walnut Creek northeast of Columbus, offering outstanding saugeye and white bass fishing, particularly during spring runs. The reservoir is a primary drinking water source for Columbus, so certain restrictions apply, but public fishing access is excellent along the dam and at designated areas. Trolling and jigging for saugeye are the most productive techniques.
