About

The Hobble Creek Campground is a beautiful and remote campsite on the Kemmerer Ranger District. The Hobble Creek Campground is located at the trailhead to Lake Alice and offers 18 campsites, toilet, trash and potable water in the summer on fish-filled Hobble Creek. Corrals are available for stock. Lake Alice, is a short 1.5 mile hike east from the campground. Trailers longer than 30 feet are not recommended. The Hobble Creek Campground is also located close to the Hobble Creek Trailhead where visitors and continue along Hobble Creek and eventually connect in to the historic Lander Cutoff of the Oregon Trail. Visitors are strongly encouraged to practice clean camping techniques and to store attractants (e.g. food, toothpaste) in a manner that makes them unavailable to bears.
