Frio River — Garner State Park

The Frio River at Garner State Park is a beloved Hill Country fishing destination with gin-clear spring-fed water and excellent populations of Guadalupe bass, sunfish, and catfish. The park provides easy access to multiple pools and riffles along a scenic stretch of the river. Light tackle and fly fishing are the preferred methods, with small spinners and dry flies producing well in the clear water.
