About

Located 25 minutes south of Paisley, Oregon, Jones Crossing is a rustic and popular forest camp located right on the free-flowing Chewaucan River. Some juniper and ponderosa pines dot the camp, offering shade. There are eight spacious campsites, each featuring a picnic table and fire grate. There is one vault toilet servicing the campground. There is no potable water. Visitors need to pack plenty of water. For recreation, campers can fish for rainbow or brook trout in the Chewaucan River. You may see or hear woodpeckers and songbirds make their presence known in this peaceful camp. There is also access to the Fremont National Recreation Trail #160 at Chewaucan Crossing, which is en route to Jones Crossing. The Fremont National Recreation Trail offers hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking pursuits.
