Located at a prominent bend on Going-to-the-Sun Road, Siyeh Bend is a popular stop for hikers, serving as the starting point for the Siyeh Pass and Piegan Pass Trails. It's also a transition point between higher-elevation subalpine vegetation and the forests of the east side. Siyeh Pass Distance: 4.6 mi (7.4 km), one way Elevation gained: 2,362 ft (720 m) Elevation lost: 108 ft (33 m) Trailhead: Piegan Pass Trailhead at Siyeh Bend Note: Siyeh Pass is also accessible from Sunrift Gorge. Piegan Pass Distance: 4.5 mi (7.2 km), one way Elevation gained: 1,895 ft (578 m) Elevation lost: 170 ft (52 m) Trailhead: Piegan Pass Trailhead at Siyeh Bend Note: Piegan Pass is also accessible from the south end of the Many Glacier Hotel parking lot.
