Ryan Ranch Trailhead

<p paraeid="{5b31bcd1-638e-43cd-9cfa-6ec1a4d5f5ae}{107}" paraid="1311873658">Ryan Ranch is a one-mile (round trip) out-and-back hike with a 135-foot elevation gain. The trail travels along an old ranch road to a historic adobe structure at the base of Ryan Mountain. Ryan Ranch was built as a homestead in 1896 by J.D. Ryan, who operated the Lost Horse Mine. There are also remnants of past at the site such as a fallen windmill and old building materials. Do not remove any artifacts from the site. </p> <p paraeid="{5b31bcd1-638e-43cd-9cfa-6ec1a4d5f5ae}{139}" paraid="344232096">The Ryan Ranch Trail is a great place to discovery the park’s history while enjoying views of Ryan Mountain. This trail is typically less crowded than those close by and can offer peaceful solitude. </p> <p paraeid="{5b31bcd1-638e-43cd-9cfa-6ec1a4d5f5ae}{159}" paraid="374087403">You can access this trail from the parking area along Park Boulevard or from Ryan Campground near site 14. </p>
