About
Camp Four and a Half Cabin is located along the Kings River at an elevation of 1,100 feet. This historic cabin sits within the Sequoia National Monument, about 60 miles east of Fresno, California. In the fall and winter, the cabin is above the central valley fog, in the spring, it is ablaze with wildflowers and wildlife and in the summer it is hot and dry, with the river nearby. The cabin was built in 1957. Until the early 1980s, the cabin was used as a residence and office by various Forest Service rangers and their families. The cabin has been restored to the current condition through the efforts of dedicated volunteers and employees.
