Located in the Mingus Mountain Area in ponderosa pine forest, this campground offers cool summertime temperatures and fairly easy access via a paved and winding mountain road. Nearby are the Woodchute Wilderness and several non-motorized trail opportunities. The historic mining town of Jerome lies 8 miles northeast on U.S. Highway 89A.
